Rachel Wasserman

Rachel Wasserman is the Founder and Principal of Wasserman Business Law, a Toronto business-law firm. She holds a JD from Queen's University and a BBA (Co-op) from the Lazaridis School of Business at Wilfrid Laurier University, and previously worked as a Senior Vice-President in a Canadian corporate finance group advising business owners on the sale of their companies. In 2024 she authored The Private Equity Playbook, a research report for the Canadian Anti-Monopoly Project (CAMP), and her commentary on private equity has been cited by CBC's The Fifth Estate, Bloomberg, and The Globe and Mail. She joined the podcast to discuss the realities of selling a business to private equity.
